Andree + Gil / Engagement. {Sioux Falls South Dakota Wedding Photography}

It was a strange winter in Sioux Falls this year, which was why I was wondering if Andree and Gil’s engagement session was going to happen on the day we planned for it.  It was pretty mild in the beginning of the day, but once I arrived at our meeting location it began to snow very large snowflakes and I couldn’t help but get inspired by them.  It’s not that often I get to shoot in a snowfall like this!  We started out at a frozen yogurt shop and enjoyed some cold treats on a cold day.  After the yogurt, Andree enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine next door, which warmed her up before we stepped outside.

Then we braved the falling snow, creating a great effect for the rest of the pictures!

At the park, Andree and Gil pulled out some mugs from “The Avengers”, which is something they both admit is a guilty pleasure.  I was happy to include anything they had thought of ahead of time to personalize their session as much as possible.

We couldn’t resist stopping at the library… Andree went to school for English, so it made too much sense!  We found some goofy titles to use as props and got “cheesy” for a little while.

Gil proposed to Andree with a puppy, and I was excited to hear that the same puppy just happened to be nearby Gil’s house, waiting for his parents to come home!  Of course I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to stop and get some photos with their adorable pup, Lajla as a grand finale… look at those eyes!
