I feel guilty about almost missing 2 Thursdays, so I am getting this one in on the last minute. Sure there is one hour left of this Thursday, but it still counts, right?
This week, I shall post 3 artists that I can never get enough of. Music to listen to especially when concentrating and getting lost in the world of editing and putting the final artistic touches to the photos from your shoots. I really suggest you check any of the following three music choices out, each in their own category, the sound of their music makes me smile 🙂

The very poetic ELLIOT SMITH. Yes, he did die a tragic death. But with that aside his music is so beautiful and addicting.
The sound of his voice mixed with the melodies he compiles makes him my top choice for music to listen to when I am working.
Favorite songs by him, not in any particular order: “Angeles”, “Little One”, “Needle in the Hay”, “Say Yes”.

MADELEINE PEYROUX: She has such a jazzy, smooth sound to her, it really makes you feel a tad bit “cooler” when you listen to her music…
Or maybe that’s just me….either way, she definitely calms me down whether I am editing, cooking, relaxing, etc.
My favorite songs by her off the top of my head are “Don’t Wait Too Long”, “Dance Me To The End Of Love”, “Half the Perfect World”,
“California Rain”, “I’m All Right”.

THE SHINS: Ever since I saw the movie, Garden State, I have been hooked on this group.
As far as I’m concerned, their music is so distinct, its hard to classify it into one category.
I love the sound of every combination they make in every song. I haven’t heard one song I can’t listen to until the end yet.
Perfect for a road trip, working out, just about everything you can listen to music with, The Shins will fit right in…
Favorite Songs: “Phantom Limb”, “Sea Legs”, “Split Needles”
Signing off, almost Friday!
