When I cross paths with two people so deeply in love, it truly touches my heart. Jessie and Katie are a shining example of what love is and really means. Their entire day was full of smiles, tears, laughter, hugs, and plenty of dancing. I was in love with the colors Katie chose for her wedding, with yellows and blues giving a fresh feeling, and the bridesmaids dresses were so beautiful. Not to mention Katie’s dress, with all of the details and the beautiful accessories she had to go with it.
I was pleased to capture the raw emotion as Jessie and Katie exchanged gifts before the ceremony… Their little boy in the photo below to the right is Preston, he just turned one year old.

Katie looked gorgeous and radiant, she was such a breathtaking bride, Jessie is one lucky man!
The ceremony was beautiful, and you could see how excited they were when they were announced husband and wife…
We made a couple of stops along the way to the reception, getting some bright, urban buildings and some railroad tracks to use as wedding portrait canvases…
Mr. and Mrs. Helwig a.k.a. Jessie and Katie had an amazing reception set up, with colorful lights, a customized logo, and music by Pinnacle Productions out of Sioux Falls, SD. The DJ, Chris, was great to work with!
Not gonna lie, the speeches got me a little choked up…but this is what I love about my job, and I hope I never go in to a wedding without attachments 🙂

I agree this was an amazing wedding. My husband and Jessie worked together many years ago, and this was the first time I had ever seen Jessie choked up about a girl. Together they are an amazing couple and will have many years of happiness. The photographs are amazing!
