It was a windy September day, but the sun was shining bright and there was a hint of the Fall season in the air. Katie got ready with her girlfriends and her mother by her side. Her second grade class came over to see her during their recess, and it was so adorable to see their faces light up with excitement when they saw their favorite teacher in a beautiful wedding dress and looking so breathtaking. Shawn stood in the hallway of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, waiting for his angelic bride to approach him. It was on this day, September 3, 2010, that they would be come husband and wife.
The day started with a gorgeous ceremony and ended up with a dazzling reception at the Great Plains Zoo, which was unique and fun.
Katie and Shawn, thank you so much for having me there to document your day through my lens, and to witness those special moments you two have with each other. Congrats to both of you for having such wonderful families, and for having such a fabulous wedding day, which will be cherished for years to come. Wishing you only the best in your lives together!
